I really like the way the light contrasts with the dark there. I find it interesting how much and how immediately they contrast, if that makes sense... The positioning of the tree to the right side creates more balance and impact overall, and I think the rays from the sun add more depth to things as well.
I like the way the clouds convey so much atmosphere here. It's interesting how the land seems to be silhouetted against everything as well, with just the strip of lighting near the bottom of the frame, as if dividing up the different worlds even more...
I'm not sure the title you've got for this piece is the best title, but the way the tree is on its lonesome certainly hints at something profound.
